Currently Playing
Gold
By Ryan Adams
see related
copy from LJ

Ok so around yesterday I was utterly shocked when I looked up the music I've been listening to on amazon.com. I've been getting really into Ryan Adams and his former band, Whiskeytown, and when I looked at the genre of music that I have been faithfully listening to and downloading albums i saw:

Alternative Country

Ok, so i confess, i listen to Alt Country, Ryan Adams solo stuff really isn't Alt Country its really rock, but its genre'd like that apparently, Whiskeytown has its rock and country roots, Adams himself refers to it as a country band, there's nothing wrong with it but my tastes in music are surely changing its weird. Shout out to Ed Delsole who told me about Adams at Governor's School

BTW: Has anyone heard of Ryan Adams or Whiskeytown (besides Ed)?

WE MADE STATES!!

Science Olympiad
3rd place!

We hear the schools get announced...
6th, not us, 5th, not us, 4th, not us (at this point everyone gives up and realizes we didnt place in the top 6 to go to states), 3rd,...... CONESTOGA HIGH SCHOOL!!!

"OMG!.. (i jump from 5 benches up on the bleachers roll my ankle and start hugging people) it was amazing

Even though we didnt medal (top 3) in a lot of events we must have done really well in almost all of them (around 4th or 5th place) and just racked up the points

I didnt win any medals in my events but i think we still did well (we'll have the results in 2 weeks)  George Stevens and I did pretty well in Health Science, Linda Chao did alright in Disease Detectives, and Laura B-W and I pwn'd Designer Genes (a good thing) i think we did really well in that event

Im ecstatic although we'll have a lot more work to do to prepare for states in Juniata

WOOOOT!

It's 1:41 in the morning now, so cool, spring break is here!

The rugby game up at State College was wicked awesome.  A side lost in a hard faught battle, but B side played their hearts out.  It was freezing up there and i got a little sick but I slept it off today, and now im up really late which i will be going to sleep soon.

Today (or should i say yesterday) was really fun.  I woke up early to hand in my physics money for the field trip to the roller coasters and then slept for like an hour.  To escape the boredom that comes from being the only one NOT to go anywhere for spring break, Cindy came over and we played pool and played a wierd game of free associations (for those of you in psych class).  We basically said a word that was on this card and the other person had to say the first word that came to their mind. (I'll leave it at that, im rambling, and im tired, and im being forced to update by cindy, lol, its 1:50 now)  Good times.

New post (yup thats right.)

Ive decided to scrap trying out for tennis and play rugby.  Its pretty fun and it's only getting more and more fun.  I'm either going to be an outside center or a fullback (which is like a safety in american football.)  Stoga's first game is this Sunday at 1:00 PM at VFMS, be there if you can make it, its supposed to be nice out and you can watch us beat the living daylights out of Blackthorn.

New post for awhile, these are questions from Montana, its a kind of xanga interview thing.

1.  What is one thing about you that is suprising, that i wouldnt expect unless you told me?

2.  Whats your earliest or most traumatic childhood memory?

3.  Whats your family like (whole family, not just nuclear)?

4.  I want to learn to speak fluent boy. Give me one sound truth that girls arent supposed to know.

5.  What do you find intimidating in a person?

I first want to see that these are really really good, deep questions and I thought very hard answering these. (have i really ever? no)

Answers-

1.  I couldn't miss an episode of Days of Our Lives when I was 13, ok just kidding, I'll answer it for real.  This is definitely the hardest question.  Loathe is one emotion that I guess I do not have.  When I look back, I've never hated someone, ever.  In fact, it takes a lot to get me to even dislike someone.  But im not perfect at all and I do sometimes dish out some unjust dislikeness (synonym?).

2.  My earliest most traumatic experience is probably the time my grandfather died or my parents broke up, although i really dont know how much each has affected me, I don't think it has that much, but I really never know.

3.  Wow, my family are real character, im sure everyones are.  Well one side of my family is all psychs- , my mom is a psychologist, uncles are both psychiatrists.  And as you may know the patients start to rub off on the psychiatrists after awhile.  My other side of my family are all lawyers, cousins, uncle, and dad.  My grandfather and grandmother on this side reminds me of Jerry's mom and dad on seinfeld.  They always fought all the time and argued but loved each other even more than they fought (which is a lot.) It was playful arguing that was really pretty cool.

4.  First of all, we don't really have a language, more like a series of patterned grunts.  To answer the question but our thoughts to ourself when talking to a girl go something like this...'Damn she's hot, keep on talking, no no ddont sstutter, (thinks about sex) , I dont think she likes me (or) I may have a chance, one of those two, I think i'll crack a joke, (goes on about detail about the girl), " Ok that may be me, but its generally similar with all guys i think. And there's two types of guys, one that always thinks he's failed to impress the girl and that the girl does not like him or the one that thinks he can get every single girl on the planet.  That definitely does not make any sense, but then again, neither do we.

5.  Self-confidence.  I mean a real physically strong person is definitelly intimidating in physical confrontations, like fighting.  But I would not respect them because they can beat me up.  If someone is sure of themselves and nothing is going to change their mind, then I am both respectful and powerless.  I think that is what intimidates me.

RULES
1 - Leave a comment, saying you want to be interviewed.
2 - I will respond; I'll ask you five questions.
3 - You'll update your journal with my five questions, and your five answers.
4 - You'll include this explanation.
5 - You'll ask other people five questions when they want to be interviewed.
